 This section will provide you information about the various Property Tax Programs run by the Ministry of Finance: Rural Property Tax applies to land outside cities, towns, districts and village boundaries in British Columbia. Rural property makes up 99.6% of British Columbia's land area.
 The Home Owner Grant is one of three property tax assistance programs offered by the province.
 Property Transfer Tax is different from property tax. You pay Property Transfer Tax when you purchase or acquire an interest in a property.
